mature themes. Eldridge is a mature group, meaning any character within the area code needs to be 21 and older. This isn’t for the faint of heart. Crime, death, drugs and other adult related things will be prevalent in the main storyline. We want the inner darkness in all of you to come out when making your characters and writing them. Don’t hold yourself back. activity. Most activity will be based on Discord. Profile pages and an active discord are required. All writing will be documented via Discord. If you’ve read this far please tell us your favorite song on question 3 in the audition form. Writing is welcome on the site and on Discord, whatever you’re more comfortable with. Weekly you are required to use the blast with four replies minimum. Anything extra will be counted for points! You aren’t required to write with everyone (though it is encouraged to have a storyline with everyone so that you know how to interact appropriately!) but you are required to have four active storylines that you are replying to within two weeks. Activity checks will be sent out weekly - they will range from storyline based reaction drabbles, writing, muse posts etc. inclusivity. We want all of our members to feel welcome and like Eldridge is a place they can call home. We get that we all have busy lives but please don’t blatantly ignore members who reach out to you. If you feel like you’re being ignored, please let us know so that we can get to the bottom of it.
point system. We do have an active point system that we will be using to track activity. In order to maintain your spot in Eldritch, you will be required to make 80 points per month. We have a grid that you will be shown once you’ve joined.
ooc and drama. This is our personal favorite rule. Somewhere at some time, we’ve all met each other. We all know each other, and maybe in the past we had hard feelings about one another. Drama that is NOT storyline based will not be tolerated. Let bygones be bygones and make it work, somehow. We do not expect you to be best friends with everyone, but we require civility out of character and a basic connection with everyone. Make up all of the drama in character that you want.
life changes. As far as life changes (ie: marriage, pregnancy, whatever) go, we know that things such as these are usually never planned, with engagements - please wait at least six weeks before you pop the question. All you have to do is message the admins and ask for the change. You may join married or engaged to your significant other, be sure to add your writing partner’s name so we are aware.
As for pregnancies - this will be a case by case situation. We do not want more kids than adults in this group, so you may just have to wait your turn for a crotch goblin. We will also limit the times that they are in events. We understand that having a child is an extension of yourself, but half the things that will happen at these events are not child friendly.

Eldridge County, California. A small town that founded itself in the middle of the 1800’s, the small community is filled with beautiful things. Lakes equipped with waterfalls, an expansive forest that you could easily get lost in and some of the most charming shops that one could come by.
In the 80’s, Eldridge changed from its small tourist spot to a normal small town. Parts that still remain are covered in graffiti, becoming somewhat of a party town - if you knew the right people to ask. One of those people being Samuel Eldridge. One of the most sincere popular guys that you could ever meet. He was friends with everyone during his high school days. Now of course cliques fall to where they’re ranked, and there was a little bit of everything at Eldridge High School, the only one in the county. You truly felt like you knew everyone, whether as a friend or an enemy.
As the years went on, and Samuel Eldridge graduated and became a man of his own, he easily fell into place at the police station. As a few years went on, he became the chief. He always went easy on the drunken teenagers, giving them rides home, trying to keep a cool personality. That was until one fateful day in April of 2024, when he was killed in a horrific accident. Not much longer after that, a text was sent to every contact he had with an invitation to his funeral.
Grief swept over the friends that he had with most attending the closed casket funeral to give their goodbyes. That was when Samuel's former girlfriend Rebecca apologized as she mentioned needing to get back to her own life, not being able to handle the sadness that she felt. Everyone said their goodbyes, and an hour after she left every single person that attended the funeral got a video of Rebecca’s car being blown to smithereens - along with another text saying that if anyone who got the previous text left town, they would be killed too. This left the previous residents now trapped in Eldridge.

Weeks after Samuel's death, people were getting antsy. A small group of friends decided to leave and met with the same fate as Rebecca's. The video was shared to the masses, solidifying that they were stuck in this town, at least until they were sure they had caught the culprit.
There was a palpable tension in the town as the funeral attendees tried to make their lives normal - finding homes and jobs. They were sure it was someone they had all known. Patrick Hemmings was one of the only students at Eldridge high school that didn’t have friends. It wasn't a secret that he envied Samuel and his life. For weeks residents begged the police to put him into custody and after a few more people had died - they did.
It was everyone’s biggest shock when more people were killed, even with him in Jail.
