In the 12 years that had passed that she had been attacked by a perp she had been chasing for 25 years, Sonya had let everybody believe that she had succomed to her usually fatal wounds and has died in the arms of Detective Olivia Benson that night. But that was not what had happened. Once everyone had left the scene and Warner was getting ready to have her transported to the mourgue, Sonya managed to take a deep breath and come to. She was secretly taken to an out of town hospital and given extensive treatment for her injures and the effects of the low oxygen to her brain. After all of that and years of living under another name, she was finally ready to come out of hiding and get back to her old life. She hesitated before walking into SVU squad room, knowing tha everyone in there thought she had died. She took a deep breath and put one foot in front of the other, stepping into the squad room.
