Kaelan Warren was the son of Michael Warren. As a child he had everything he ever wanted, his life was one of privilege. Being the mayor of Racoon City allowed Michael to spoil his family. Little did they know that it was Michael's connections with Umbrella, and his less than respectable dealings that gave him the fortune he used to buy them everything. Michael Warren was a corrupt politician. It was nothing new or groundbreaking. It was a fact, a fact only certain people knew within Racoon City. One of those people was Chief of Police, Brian Irons. Irons had a past riddled with acts of violence, sexual assault, and multiple murders. He had a short fuse, and a type. A type that Kaelan fit all too well. However, since he was Michael's son Brian never acted on his urges. He was after all the only child of his very powerful colleague. Brian liked to push limits but this was one he refused to. If he was to cause issues with the mayor, he was certain Umbrella would find a replacement for him and he'd find a bullet lodged in his skull.
Everything came to a head though on the night of September 24th. Michael Warren learned that the virus was rapidly spreading through Racoon Cityโs water supply. Not knowing how to proceed, he turned tail and ran. Cowardly he abandoned his son in the forsaken city and escaped via the U.S. Army. Though he left his son behind, he had instructed him to go to the Raccoon City Police Department to take up sanctuary with other survivors, and to find Brian Irons, the chief of the RPD. Since Irons was also involved with Umbrella he figured his son would be safest with him. How foolish that thought was. If Kaelanโs father had actually kept up to date with his fellow Umbrella colleague he would know that Irons had slowly begun to crack as the world fell apart around him, and he even had an uneasy relationship with his own police force. Kaelan, the naive twenty-two year old he was, had listened to his father, basically serving himself up on a silver platter to Irons.
