Gil didn't like being mad at Catherine. They knew eacb other well enough to know what buttons to push to get reactions from each other. It was something they both needed to work on. He knew there were other things he needed to work on himself. He didn't like the way he was when it came to holding his feelings in. He had been that way his whole life and knew he needed to work harder on that part of himself, not just for him but for Catherine too. He shook his head a little getting out of his thoughts. "I'll get over what happened at the lab last week. I'll also be there for Lindsey. I know she needs me and I know you need me Catherine. I know i still have things to work on and I promise i'll work harder on them."

Sara looked away from the bodies, turning her sight to Catherine. This wasn’t something Sara was use to. She never felt sick or was rarely ill. Sure, she would get the common cold from time to time but she couldn’t remember the last time she had actually felt like she was going to vomit…at least a time when it wasn’t from drinking too much the night before. “Uhh. I’m fine. Just feeling a bit off.” She said, a slight pause in her words and shacking her head slightly to refocus her mind. “I can finish the photos.” She spoke as she slide the camera strap down her arm. “Wasn’t tonight your night off?” She questioned with a raised eyebrow. “I had asked them to send someone from swing to the B&E so I could get here soon but they were tapped out.”
Red and blue lights lite the dark Vegas night. The glow from the strip could be seen off in the distance and the stars overhead. That was one of the things that Sara loved the most about the desert, the ability to see the stars but even now that was tainted. It had been just under three months since Sara had been taken by Natalie Davis and rescued from the desert. She still had nightmares about it. In each one, the team never make it to her in time and she dies under the brush. Parking her Denali by the yellow cation tape, Sara sighed softly, looking out the windshield towards the wide, open desert. She couldn’t allow fear to rule her.
Getting out of her Denali, the young CSI moved to the trunk, grabbing her field kit and vest before showing her ID and ducking under the tape as the officer help it up for her. She smiled slightly to him in thanks as she moved her way through the crime scene. Sara could see Nick off towards the perimeter, taking over alls of the scene while Warrick was putting yellow evidence markers and collecting what he was finding and finally her eyes landed on Catherine, who was near the bodies. Making her way over the older woman, Sara took in the scene around her. At least two bodies lay in the desert sand, each had their torsos’ ripped open, organs spilling out and some missing. Their necks also looked like someone or something had ripped their jugglers out. Just when you think you’ve seen it all. She thought to herself.
“Hey Cath. Sorry I’m late. I had a B&E down at the discount liquor store off the strip.” Sara spoke as she put her kit down at her feet. She grimaced at the sight of the before her. She wasn’t normally one with a weak stomach. Her weakness was saliva. The brunette could feel her stomach slowly starting to knot and churn. Sara straightened her back, squaring her shoulders and willing her stomach to settle. “What do you need me to do?” She asked as he color slowly started draining from her face as she gaged slightly from the smell of the blood and death that clung to the air.
Erica had been working through the night, something that her own OBGYN would likely disagree with her at 9 months pregnant however she couldn't find it in her heart to go on maternity leave when mothers needed her. She grabbed the chart of her next patient smiling softly as she saw a familiar name. Making her way to the delivery room she pushed open the door smiling softly as she came to the side of the bed.
"Catherine, it's so good to see a familiar face. First of all how far along are you?" she asked checking the chart for all the previous sonogram appointments.
