Lilly Valens nee Rush’s life had changed rapidly, As a child she felt abandoned, her father had left her with her mother and sister, Her Mother a drunk, her sister not that much younger then her, yet due to her mother’s neglect she had to take care of her, to most you would think it would draw the two sisters to be close as adults, that had been further from the truth.
Through the years Lilly had become a homicide detective for the Cold Case unit, she met her Partner Scotty Valens and the two had fallen in love, they married once she had become pregnant with his child, life was grand for a time being, that was until her sister had been murdered, She felt guilty and perhaps it was that guilt that had made her decide to adopt her sisters’ daughter Ellie, or perhaps it was the sheer love she had for that child but she loved her just as she loved her own daughter.
Now at this moment in time she had been working a scene that had sent her to Los Angeles California from what she understand her murder suspect had killed again, this time in the Los Angeles jurisdaction. What made things rather difficult for Lil was the notion that their killer was a Firefighter, He was someone who had most were supposed to trust with their lives, with their properties but instead they would found murdered. She currently had found the 118 Fire station, as she understood her Suspect had worked there and in fact a few lives were put in danger. She flashed her badge as she began “Hi, I’m Detective Rush..” She began using her Maiden name “I’m with the Cold Case unit in Philadelphia, I have a few questions about one of your former colleagues” she simply stated.
It had been a rather few weeks at the Call Center, Abby Buckley felt as though she had very little time for herself, let alone her family, Thankfully however Today was one of those days.
Both herself and Buck had a very rare day off and had decided to have two best friends over. She had been cleaning all day and at the moment she was sitting waiting for their arrival.
Her 5 year old looked over at her as she said “Momma can I go play? She had asked her. She shook her head and answered “In a little bit Del, you need to go clean up your toys and would you like to help me make cookies?” She had asked her only child. Del laughed as she said “Do I ever!!” She answered her from ear to ear.
Not to long later the doorbell had rang, which had caused Abby to boop her daughter’s nose “Stay here and mix the flour, I’m going to answer the door for Daddy and Uncle Eddie” She said as she sauntered over to the door.
