Welcome to the Black Parade (RULES)
RULES 1. This is a 21+ group, if you are under this age, this group is not for you. Your main character must be at least 18+. You are allowed to write a character of any age as an NPC if approved by the admins. There are hard rules with this, as well as limits.
2. If you are having issues with another member, please contact admins. We ask that no screenshots be shared unless in a private chat with all admins present. Do not share these screenshots with other members who are not a part of the issue, and do not speak to anyone but the admins on the issue. We may ask you to join a chat with us and the other member the issues lie with. If you are not okay with this, do not come to us with the issue or let it interfere with the group in any way unless you are being threatened or harassed in a way that breaks the rules of the group.
3. You are allowed up to 2 NPC roles as a regular member. These also must be cleared by the admins and submitted under the NPC character info sections in the discord server so others know about the character you will be NPCing.
4. If you leave the group after already having participated in group stories and events, your character will be killed off. We will not change anything or write your character other than an explanation for why they’re gone. So please be aware that your character will have an impact on other members when joining or deciding to leave.
5. We are a very LGTBQIA+ group both in and out of character. We also do not accept racism, bigotry, or any hate based on someone’s identity. This will lead to anyone who can’t be or won't be tolerant being removed from the group.
6. Members are allowed to have a love interest. However, the love interest should not be the main focus of their character. For the sake of the group and other members, you’re only allowed one love interest. If cheating is to be involved for any reason, make sure your writing partner is okay with the plot, and use an NPC for the scandal. We understand some people are multi-li, but within a group that does not work well and can easily cause unwanted ooc drama. Please sign below with your favorite band/artist.
7. This is a dystopian apocalyptic universe. Most characters are fighting to survive. There will be many dark themes brought up such as mental health issues, substance abuse, torture, gore, blood, etc. For the much darker themes such as suicide or certain types of assault, these will be kept to a minimum and the spoiler tags will be placed so that if these things are triggering to you, you are not required to read them.
8. If you need some time off for any reason, just let us mods know and we can come up with a reason
why your character will be MIA during that time if need be. We’re a pretty laid-back group.
9. We will be doing group events. These will take part over 2-3 days to ensure each member gets a chance to participate. We’ll have two of these a month. They will not be scripted, but certain themes or goals may be placed for the plot.
10. We are an original character-only group. This is not a multi-verse group, nor is it attributed to The Walking Dead or other popular zombie media. That being said, you can take inspiration from characters of other franchises. So long as there is originality to the character you make.
11. These rules may be added to or modified as the need arises.
